Introducing Our Domestic Violence Therapy Program

Introducing Our Domestic Violence Therapy Program

Healing from domestic violence is not a one-size-fits-all process. Our Domestic Violence Therapy program is designed to walk alongside survivors with care, professionalism, and respect—helping individuals regain a sense of control, safety, and hope for the future.

Introducing Our Domestic Violence Therapy and Survivor Support Programs

We are proud to share that our services have expanded to include Domestic Violence Therapy and Survivor Support Programs. These programs are designed to help people who have been hurt by intimate partner violence, sexual assault, controlling behavior, exploitation, or unsafe relationships. Email us now: support@mychscare.com

Domestic violence and abuse can affect many parts of a person’s life. It can impact how someone feels, how safe they feel, how they think about themselves, and how they handle everyday tasks. Many survivors live with fear, stress, confusion, or loneliness long after the abuse has stopped. Some are still in unsafe situations and do not know where to turn.

Our goal is to provide a safe, private, and respectful space where survivors can receive support, learn skills, and begin healing at their own pace. No one is rushed. No one is judged. Every person is treated with care and dignity.

Understanding What Domestic Violence and Abuse Can Look Like

Domestic violence is not always physical. It can include many different behaviors, such as:

  • Emotional abuse, insults, or constant criticism
  • Controlling behavior, monitoring, or isolation
  • Threats, intimidation, or fear-based control
  • Sexual assault or unwanted sexual contact
  • Financial control or forced dependence
  • Exploitation or manipulation

Some people may not realize they are experiencing abuse until they start feeling unsafe, powerless, or constantly stressed. Others may know they are being hurt but feel unsure how to get help. Our programs are here to support people in many different situations, whether the abuse is happening now or happened in the past.

What Our Programs Provide

Our Domestic Violence Therapy and Survivor Support Programs focus on safety, healing, stability, and personal strength. We offer both therapy services and support services, depending on what a person needs.

Therapy Services

Therapy services are provided by licensed mental health professionals who are trained in trauma-informed care. Therapy focuses on helping survivors understand their feelings, reduce stress, and regain a sense of control.

Therapy may help with:

  • Talking through trauma and emotional pain in a safe way
  • Learning ways to calm the body and mind during stress
  • Understanding emotions like fear, anger, sadness, or guilt
  • Building confidence and self-worth
  • Learning how to set healthy boundaries
  • Making thoughtful decisions about the future
  • Reducing symptoms like anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm

Therapy is always respectful and guided by the survivor’s comfort level. Survivors are never pushed to talk about anything they are not ready to share.

Survivor Support Services

In addition to therapy, we provide access to supportive services that help survivors feel safer and more stable in their daily lives. These services do not replace therapy or emergency help, but they offer important guidance and connection.

Our survivor support services include help for individuals affected by:

  • Intimate Partner Abuse
  • Sexual Assault
  • Human Trafficking
  • Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)

We also work alongside trusted programs and partners, including:

  • La Isla Pacifica Confidential Shelter, which provides safe and private shelter support
  • Mariposas Resiliency Center, offering education and resiliency-focused resources
  • Solutions to Violence Therapy Services, providing trauma-focused mental health care
  • South County Family Justice Center, helping connect survivors to coordinated community services
  • STV Supportive Housing Program, supporting long-term housing stability
  • Outreach & Prevention Programs, focused on education and early support
  • In Touch With Teens, offering prevention and education for youth

These programs work together to support safety, healing, and independence while respecting each person’s choices.

A Trauma-Informed and Confidential Approach

We understand that reaching out for help can feel scary. Safety and privacy are extremely important. All services are provided with strict confidentiality, following legal requirements, and always with respect for personal boundaries.

Our intake process is designed to be calm, private, and supportive. We take time to listen and understand each person’s situation. Survivors are encouraged to share only what feels safe for them.

Our services focus on healing and support, not legal advice or emergency response. When someone is in immediate danger, we encourage them to contact emergency services or crisis hotlines right away.

Who These Programs Are For

These programs are designed for people who:

  • Have experienced domestic or intimate partner violence
  • Have survived sexual assault or exploitation
  • Have been affected by trafficking or controlling relationships
  • Are healing from past abuse
  • Feel stressed, unsafe, or emotionally overwhelmed
  • Want support in rebuilding confidence and independence

Participation is always voluntary. Each person’s path is different, and services are tailored to individual needs and goals.

Our Commitment to Safety and Ethical Care

Our team is trained to recognize risk and respond in ways that do not increase danger. We follow clear safety guidelines and ethical standards across all programs. Survivors are treated with respect, compassion, and understanding.

We believe healing happens best when people feel heard, supported, and in control of their own choices.

Moving Forward With Support

Healing from domestic violence, sexual assault, or exploitation takes time. There is no right or wrong pace. Our Domestic Violence Therapy and Survivor Support Programs are here to walk alongside survivors with patience, care, and professionalism.

If you or someone you care about may benefit from these services, we invite you to reach out and learn more. Support is available, and no one has to go through this alone.
